Mutasa group hits back at Mutsvangwa

Didymus Mutasa backers have accused Christopher Mutsvangwa of feeding the nation with lies about the liberation struggle.
Mutsvangwa claims the Zanu-PF Administrator cannot claim the honour of liberating Zimbabwe since he was safely ensconced in London as guerrilla fighters were in the bushes.
Alfred Munonyara a veteran of the struggle and spokesperson for the Pro Mutasa group, who served with Mutasa in London mobilising resources for fighters said Mutsvagwa's comments were silly and unhelpful.
Munonyara said Mutsvangwa was trying to portray the liberation war as misbegotten shambles and attempting to cast aspirations on the war record for the aspiring Zanu PF national chairman Mutasa.
He said he is shocked that even today there are cadres such Mutsvangwa all too happy to feed a completely false narrative about the war.
Mutsvagwa's comments have drawn both criticism and support.
