A policeman on Friday approached the Harare Civil Court seeking protection order against his ex-wife whom he said is in the habit of following him to his workplace causing violence.

Kim Kajokoto said he separated with Rhoda because of her violent behaviour.

He said Rhoda once stabbed him with a knife on his left leg during a scuffle on his way to work.

"I had to separate with this woman because I was tired of being humiliated in front of my workmates every time she visited me at work," he said.

Kajokoto told Harare Civil Court magistrate Ms Tatenda Mananzva that Rhoda was in the habit of following him to his workplace where she verbally abused him and tore his uniform in front workmates.

"I endured a lot of suffering in the hands of this woman. She once stabbed me with a knife on my left leg while I was on my way to my workplace," he said.

Kajokoto said although he had separated with Rhoda, he needed a protection order to curb future against her abuses.

"I want the court to grant me a protection order because I am afraid that in future she may come back and do what she has done before," he said.

Rhoda denied the allegations levelled against her by Kajokoto saying she only visited him at his workplace once when she wanted to serve him with court summons.

"I had to tear his uniform because he was the first one to tear my clothes during a misunderstanding," she said.

Ms Mananzva dismissed Kajokoto's application saying he was no longer being abused by his wife as they were no longer living together.
