Russia's Foreign Minister, Mr Sergey Lavrov has left Harare for Addis Ababa this Wednesday afternoon after concluding bilateral agreements with the Zimbabwean government, among them the Darwendale platinum project that was commissioned on Tuesday.

Mr Lavrov was seen off at the Harare International Airport by Foregn Affairs Minister, Simbarashe Mumbengegwi; Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa and other senior government officials.

Shortly before leaving Harare, Mr Lavrov spoke about his visit to Zimbabwe and other issues such as his country's involvement in Ukraine.

He said Russia's involvement in Ukraine is aimed at helping the neighbouring country find peace following the civil war in which western countries wanted to gain geo-political ground.
