Zimpost goes into Botswana
18 Sep 2014 at 07:56hrs | Views
Zimbabwe Post (Zimpost) has extended its money transfer service, Zipcash, to Botswana and would take the service to South Africa to bring convenience to Zimbabweans with relatives working in those countries.
The services began operating last month and Zipcash customers can now send or receive money to and from Botswana.
Zimpost said yesterday that plans to extend the same service to South Africa were at an advanced stage after concluding the testing of the service.
Zimpost launched Zipcash in December 2013 and the system allows customers to securely send or receive money locally and internationally through the postal network.
Zipcash is a money transfer service that sits on an electronic platform, International Financial System developed by the Universal Postal Union.
Zimpost said the domestic Zipcash money transfer service enables customers to send or receive money throughout Zimbabwe with a network of 227 outlets, nationwide.
