Fist fight at MDC-T

MDC-T activists over the weekend traded blows at a Harare provincial congress as two distinct camps jostled to nominate either current organising secretary Nelson Chamisa or spokesperson Douglas Mwonzora for the post of secretary general ahead of the party's October elective congress.

Chamisa and Mwonzora are reportedly vying to land the secretary general's post left vacant by Tendai Biti who was expelled from the Morgan Tsvangirai led faction.

Biti is now one of the leaders of MDC-Team after squabbles with Tsvangirai over leadership style.
