Dr Solanki loses Zim hospital

The Supreme Court yesterday upheld its June judgement that Vivek Solanki has no ownership rights over Trauma Centre medical facility in Harare.

The Supreme Court in June granted ownership of the medical facility to Streamsleigh Investments but Solanki halted his imminent eviction after he appealed to the ConCourt arguing his right to protection of law was denied.

Solanki and his Autoband Investments had also argued that the Supreme Court erred in determining the appeal, as he was deprived of property rights as protected and guaranteed under section 71 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.

He also sought an order setting aside the Supreme Court judgement.
