Mugabe saves white couple from eviction

President Robert Mugabe has blocked a senior government official's attempt to grab a farm from an elderly Zanu-PF affiliated white couple.

Francis Gudyanga had kicked Tennis Zimbabwe honorary life president Pearson Martin out of his Five Streams Farm in Mutasa.

Gudyanga seized the property at the end of August after being granted the order by High Court.

But Zanu-PF member in Mutasa district lobbied the president through First lady Grace Mugabe to spare the couple.

Other Zanu-PF member also weighed in with petition to support Martin's continued stay at the farm.
