Shake up at Zimpapers
02 Oct 2014 at 11:08hrs | Views
Government has reportedly instigated a shake-up at its flagship media house, Zimbabwe Newspaper with chief executive officer Justice Mutasa sacked.
Mutasa was on Monday served with a letter of dismissal which he declined to sign.
He yesterday laughed off the dismissal reports while Information ministry permanent secretary George Charamba declined to comment, referring questions to board chairperson Charles Utete who could not be reached for comment.
Mutasa laughed off at the reports and characterised them as hogwash.
In financial results released this week, Zimpapers reportedly posted a loss of $1.4 million but insiders claimed Mutasa was a victim of the on-going Zanu PF factional fights and the power games to control the government mouth piece.
