FIRST lady Grace Mugabe has slammed Tsvangirai for defying a prophesy by Makandiwa that urged him not to stage street demos saying protests did not solve the country's crisis.
Speaking for the first time after her controversial doctorate at Chinhoyi stadium for her maiden tour of provinces to thank people for nominating her to lead the Women's League yesterday Grace charged that Tsvangirai was the one who had destroyed the country's economy by inviting sanctions.
"She said demonstrations and protests were unhelpful to the country as they will lead to the stifling of development, while destabilising the country," according to a report by the Herald.
United Family International Church leader Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa recently prophesied that protests would lead to bloodshed and instability in the country.
Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries leader Prophet Walter Magaya agreed with Prophet Makandiwa on the prophecy.
If there are any challenges, she said, they should be channelled through the leadership, including councillors and Members of Parliament.
"Now I believe that there are some people aligned to the devil because no one contests the Word of God. If they say no to violence and he insists on that path it shows he does not care about the country," Grace was quoted by a daily paper today.
Mugabe took a swipe at Tsvangirai saying even his western handles had rejected him because his time had ended. She urged MDC-T youths to rebel against their leader for inciting them to be violent.
