'Grace Mugabe to end factionalism,' says Muchinguri

Zanu-PF Secretary for Women Affairs Oppah Muchinguri has said the First Lady Grace Mugabe will curb factionalism within Zanu-PF and become the unifying factor amid growing divisions in the revolutionary party.

Muchinguri said Grace was elevated by the league to weed out lumpen elements within the party who were organising themselves into small groups, pursuing selfish interests.

She said Grace was chosen to lead the Women's League to curb rampant and recurrent cases of manipulation of women by some individuals within the party who regarded themselves as powerful.  

Muchinguri said Grace would put factionalism to an end and bring down divisive elements that were stifling development and sabotaging the party in pursuit of selfish interests and personal glory.
