Harare magistrate, Milton Serima has denied bail two Harare men who appeared in court facing charges of murder and armed robbery.

John Mabhunu and Francis Benjamin Alimoso were remanded in custody to the 21st of November.

The state, represented by Mr Sebastian Mutizirwa, alleges that in September this year, the two together with Last Sithole, who is still on the run, barricaded a dust road connecting Old Tafara and Zimre Park by putting big stones.

It is further alleged the now deceased Oliver Chipepera who was driving from Old Tafara to Zimre Park stopped when he found huge boulders barricading the road but was attacked by the accused, who emerged from the bush and smashed the windscreen of the car.

They allegedly pulled him out of his vehicle before stabbing him on the chest and arm with a knife.

The accused are further believed to have stolen more than $1000 from the deceased and left the body in a secluded area and drove away.

The state further alleges that the accused went on to dismantle the vehicle and sold some parts.

The police arrested Mabhunu, who led them to Alimoso and the subsequent recovery of the stripped vehicle and other valuables from the accused persons.
