Waterless weekend for Harare
09 Oct 2014 at 08:21hrs | Views
The city of Harare will from tomorrow until Sunday go without water as the city council temporarily shuts down the Morton Jaffray Water Treatment Plant to allow contractors working on the treatment plans to install bulk production flow meters.
City spokesperson Leslie Gwindi yesterday confirmed the shut down and that water delivery would improve after the installation.
The city will during this period also carry out plant maintenance and repair leakages on the transmission mains.
The planned works will improve water delivery in the capital.
