City lawyers lose property over unpaid debt

Two Harare lawyers have lost property worth thousands of dollars after they failed to repay their debts, a local daily has reported.

The two are Tapiwa Mudambanuki of Mudambanuki and Associates and Ephraim Mugugu of Mugugu and Associates Legal Practitioners.

Mudambanuki lost household furniture after a ruling was made in favour of the Construction Industry Pension Fund under case number HC224/12.

 Mugugu lost an assortment of office furniture to David Tendai Matipano under case number HC2280/14.

The property belonging to Mudambanuki, which was auctioned yesterday at Ruby Auctions after it was attached by the Deputy Sheriff, included a Capri refrigerator, Defy deep-freezer, a three-piece television stand, Sony plasma television and a two-piece maroon leather lounge suite.

The other property included a four-piece beige leather lounge suite, Capri microwave, two-piece dresser, seven dining chairs and a glass-topped coffee table.

 Mugugu lost office furniture, which included two desktop computers, a laptop, eight office chairs, two office desks, three printers, Hisense refrigerator, three cabinet files, a centre glass table and a carpet.
