Three army employees gang rape woman (25)

HARARE - THREE men, employed by the army, allegedly took turns to rape a 25-year-old woman at a base near the National Heroes Acre last Thursday after accusing her of stealing a mobile phone.

One of the accused, Selection Gotekote (22) had hooked up with the woman at a local night club before accusing her of stealing his phone. He allegedly assaulted her with the help of his six workmates before taking her to their base where three of them took turns to rape her.

Gotekote yesterday appeared before a Harare Court charged with rape while his two accomplices, Romeo Moyo and an unnamed colleague, were still at large. He was remanded to October 27 for his routine remand before advising him to apply for bail at the High Court due to the seriousness of the offence.
