MDC Renewal Team's top leadership has launched a regional diplomatic offensive, targeting liberation movements and post-liberation political parties in seven countries to apprise them on the state of the national economy.
The party leadership said it would also take advantage of the tour to restructure its diaspora structures.
Chairman of the party's international relations and diaspora committee, Gorden Moyo told the MDC Renewal national working committee last week that the regional tour was meant to "apprise the region about the state of the economy in Zimbabwe".
A team consisting of the leader of the guardian council Sekai Holland, chairman Samuel Sipepa Nkomo, secretary-general Tendai Biti, treasurer-general Elton Mangoma, Lucia Matibenga and Moyo will visit South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, Angola and Malawi.
