Zimbabwe Energy and Power Development Minister Elton Mangoma of MDC-T says the electricity crisis in Zimbabwe is likely to normalise next year.
The Zimbabwe Government is said to be working "around the clock" to court private investors in the power generation sector.
He said that government was working on a comprehensive programme to increase power output by exploiting methane gas reserves in Lupane for electricity generation, Zimbabwe's Herald Online reported on Thursday.
Mangoma said power generation would improve significantly next year.
"We are targeting the Lupane gas reserves, which we hope to start exploiting for electricity generation and we are currently working on finding the right partners for the deal."
