Crocodile eggs vendor granted bail

A Zvishavane man who was arrested at the popular Joina City Mall with 58 crocodile eggs was remanded out of custody on $50 bail when he appeared before a Harare Court for contravening the Parks and Wildlife Act.
Andrew Nyahwema, 30 is accused of travelling all the way from Zvishavane to the capital city last Friday in a bid to sell 58 crocodile eggs. He is said to have gone to Joina City where with his eggs stashed in a cooler box.
Unfortunately luck ran out of him and was arrested before selling eggs whose price he had tagged at $5. Asked to produce a permit to sell the prohibited eggs, Nyahwema failed to do so.
The recovered eggs are valued at $350 and can be produced as exhibit at Court.
