ZANU-PF Central Committee member Auxilia Mnangagwa has corroborated First Lady Grace Mugabe's words saying her husband and the party's strongman Emmerson Mnangagwa is a humble man whom Zimbabweans should unreservedly honor.

Amai Mnangagwa said media reports portraying her husband as a power hungry monster were false.

"We have heard rumours that Mnangagwa is cruel and power hungry. A lot of bad things have been said about him. Let me tell you who this man really is. Mnangagwa is a humble and kind man. He is respectful of everyone regardless of gender. He is a God fearing man," Amai Mnangagwa said Speaking at a party function in Kwekwe on Saturday

She added: "The First Lady Mugabe recently said in 2004 eight provinces voted for Mnangagwa to fill in the post of Vice-President which was vacant. At the 11th hour he was asked to step down and pave way for the appointment of a female candidate and he agreed.

"You will all agree that under normal circumstances one would decline especially after eight provinces had voted for him.

"This shows that he is not power hungry and would never disrespect his superiors no matter what. Musaipisa murume uyu ndinoti pasi nevanoipisa vamwe mumusangano (Don't tarnish my husband's name)."

Amai Mnangagwa said all members of the party must learn from Mnangagwa and be patient until their turn comes and avoid forcing matters.
