Mujuru on the ropes as Mugabe says Grace has right to be in politics

VICE PRESIDENT Joice Mujuru camp was left on the ropes yesterday after President Mugabe ripped into her backers for fanning factionalism and plotting to dispose him.

The President slammed War Veteran leader Jabulani Sibanda for planning to March to State House, before turning the whip to Mashonaland West chair Temba Mliswa and Mash East chair Ray Kaukonde.

The three have been openly opposing the First Lady Grace Mugabe's ascendancy and supporting VP Mujuru's bid to subvert the President's authority.

Mugabe said there was nothing wrong with his wife, Grace, entering the political fray, adding that his late wife, Sally had played a pivotal role in the formation of the Women's League.
