The founder members of the war veterans association have disowned the association's leader Jabulani Sibanda describing his actions and utterances as treasonous.
The founder members said Sibanda disrespected the First Family by saying they had initiated a 'bedroom coup' on Vice President Dr Joice Mujuru.
Addressing members of the media at a local hotel in Harare, Victor Matemadanda who spoke on behalf of the elders said Sibanda's utterances and threats to President Mugabe who is the war veterans' patron cannot be left unchallenged.
The elders resolved that Sibanda is no longer in good standing as the Chairman of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association as he has betrayed the ruling party Zanu-PF.
The beleaguered Sibanda was quoted in the press accusing the First Family of what he said was a 'bedroom coup'.
In his address in Mutasa, Jabulani Sibanda queried why the First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe had been given coverage by the public media.
In his rant, he claimed the ZBC had given Amai Mugabe eight hours on television daily and went on to label state media security threats.
