NATIONAL Constitutional Assembly Party interim leader Lovemore Madhuku and University of Zimbabwe lecturer has accused cabinet ministers of abandoning their government duties to attend First Lady Grace Mugabe's meetings.
Tough talking Madhuku charged that ministers Jonathan Moyo, Saviour Kasukuwere and Ignatius Chombo who were frequently in attendance of the Mugabe's meetings that fuelled factional fights in Zanu PF wanted to secure their future political positions in the ruling party by bootlicking the First Lady.
Madhuku told a recent SAPES panel discussion that the ministers had ill-gotten wealth to protect, hence their desperate support for Grace.
He said President Robert Mugabe had helped them amass their wealth through looting and other corrupt means, hence their allegiance to Grace, who was now the de facto president of Zimbabwe.
