Popular sungura musician, Alick Macheso's daughter, Sharon, yesterday filed a divorce application at the High Court in Harare, seeking to nullify her union with husband Kudakwashe Munetsi, barely four months after tying the knot.
Sharon, through her lawyer Norman Mugiya of Mugiya and Mucharanga Law Chambers, filed for divorce under case number HC9538/14, insisting that the marriage had irretrievably broken down.
She is also claiming $400 monthly maintenance.
Sharon said the main reason she was filling for divorce was that Munetsi had the tendency of physically assaulting her and he committed adultery something which as not acceptable to her.
Meanwhile, the sungura musician Alick Macheso has filed an application seeking a downward variation of maintenance payments to his former wife, Tafadzwa Mapako, for the upkeep of their two minor children.
The matter is set to be heard on November 17 at the Harare Civil Court.
In his application, Macheso said he was proposing to pay $300 monthly down from $750, citing that his purse had been negatively affected by economic challenges affecting the country.
Macheso said he had gathered information that Tafadzwa was now gainfully employed and earning about $1 200 monthly.
