Drunken man stabs friend for refusing to buy him beer

BULAWAYO - A MAN Nkulumane suburb went berserk and allegedly stabbed his friend five times all over the body with a broken beer bottle on Saturday after he refused to buy him a pint of beer.

Ndabezinhle Ndlovu, 30, was admitted to Mpilo Central hospital after he was attacked by Lizwe Fatima Sithole, 33.

Sithole appeared before Western Commonage provincial magistrate Willard Maphios Moyo facing attempted murder charges. He allegedly stabbed his friend on the neck, forehead, chest as well as his right hand and back.

Sithole was not asked to plead and was remanded in custody to November 17.
