The Zimbabwe Ex-Political Prisoner Detainees and Restrictees Association (ZEPPDRA) says they are in full support of the President, Robert Mugabe and the elevation of the First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe to take over the Secretary for Women Affairs position at the forthcoming elective congress.
As the revolutionary party gears up for the elective congress slated for December in Harare, ZEPPDRA members converged in Harare to deliberate on several issues affecting them and to prepare for the forthcoming congress.
ZEPPDRA Chairman, Victor Kuretu said his executive is in support of the move taken by the revolutionary party ahead of its national elective congress of elevating Dr Mugabe to lead the Women's League.
The party's 10 provinces have endorsed the candidature of President Mugabe as the First Secretary of the party, while the First Lady was also endorsed to lead the Women's League at the forthcoming congress.
Other posts, which include the two vice presidents and that of the national chairman will be up for grabs at the congress.
