Hundreds of war veterans and Zanu-PF supporters from the country's provinces descended on Mashonaland East provincial capital Marondera from Monday morning to mount a siege on provincial party chairperson Ray Kaukonde.
In what has been dubbed the final push, the demonstrators are calling for the immediate ejection of Kaukonde alleging efforts to remove him were blocked by politiburo senior member secretary for defence Dr Sydney Sekeramayi last week.
