War vets to elect new chair to replace Jabulani Sibanda

War veterans from all the country's 10 provinces will converge in Masvingo this weekend for a national conference that will oversee the election of a new executive following the ouster of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association chairperson, Jabulani Sibanda, who was fired for allegedly disrespecting the first family.

Council of elders comprising of senior war veterans led by former chairperson Patrick Nyaruwata confirmed the conference and that attendance would be strictly by invite.

Transport for the war veterans to attend the congress has been in place, with each province having one bus to ferry people to Masvingo.

Each province contributing 40 people and if you are not invited do not come. Nyaruwata said the elections are there and this is happening because President Mugabe said do.
