30 members of the Zanu-PF women's league Harare province executive have passed a vote of no confidence in their chairperson Angeline Matambanadzo for fanning factionalism.
Matambanadzo, who is alleged to have been fanning factionalism through bribery, and other uncouth means which are contrary to the dictates of the party's constitution, has in the interim been replaced by Omega Hungwe.
Speaking at the meeting held by the women's league Harare province in the capital on Friday, secretary for legal affairs in the province Ratidzo Mukarati said 75 percent of the executive came to an agreement to oust Matambanadzo, making the decision constitutionally binding.
This event follows the expulsion of Jabulani Sibanda, the suspension of party spokesperson Rugare Gumbo, and the upholding of the suspensions of four provincial chairpersons - Amos Midzi (Harare), Callisto Gwanetsa (Masvingo), Jason Machaya (Midlands) and Matabeleland South's Andrew Langa.
