Buy Zimbabwe Campaign which was initially scheduled for the 20th of July has been changed due to the fact that the date clashes with the Indigenisation Indaba scheduled for the same day in Harare.

Buy Zimbabwe Campaign General Manager, Muyaradzi Hwengwere, confirmed that the date had been changed to pave way for the important Indigenisation Indaba.

The Buy Zimbabwe Campaign is meant to try and entice Zimbabweans to buy their local products instead of rushing for foreign made goods especially shoes from China and motor vehicles from Japan.

Hwengwere said The Buy Zimbabwe Campaign, therefore, would try to influence Zimbabweans to stop "unpatriotic practice" of buying foreign goods and services.

The one-day Indigenisation Indaba will be held on Wednesday, July 20, at the Harare International Conference Centre.

Speakers for the one day Indigenisation Indaba include the Chief Executive of Pinnacle Property Holdings (Private) Limited, Phillip Chiyangwa, Affirmative Action Group (AAG) President, Supa Mandiwanzira.

Mandiwanzira is also Chief Executive of Mighty Movies (Private) Limited. He is also a board member of The Financial Gazette weekly business and financial newspaper.

Other speakers for the Indaba are Cabinet ministers such as Saviour Kasukuwere, Welshman Ncube, Tapiwa Mashakada and the Deputy Prime Minister, Arthur Mutambara who will give the key-note address at the event.
