Mugabe bullies and bamboozles Mujuru faction into submission but can he do the same with the economy!

"Gudo guru peta muswe kuti vaduku vagokuremekadza!" so says the Shona adage. (The alpha baboon must humble himself to earn the respect of those below him!)

Supporting someone else other than the person Mugabe backs is not a crime; just because Mugabe has, with his usual dictatorial whim, decided to make factionalism a treason does not make it so. And whatever happened to "one is presumed innocent until there are charge and convicted in a properly constitute court"?

"Arriving at the meeting Mugabe said to politburo member Nicholas Goche, "ndimika muri kupumhwa huroyi [you are the one being accused of witchcraft]," reported the New Zimbabwe.

"The question caught Goche off-guard and he responded that he was not around on the seventh to which Mugabe responded, "ati musi wa7 ndiyani [who mentioned any date?].

"Goche said that was the information contained in The Herald prompting Mugabe to say, "Handina kumboverenga bepa [I did not read the paper].

"Mugabe then sarcastically asked Masvingo Provincial Affairs minister Kudakwashe Bhasikiti why he was in the "wrong basket". He responded by saying he was loyal and consistent. Mugabe told him that people said he was not consistent.

"He then instructed politburo member Josaya Hungwe to bring order to Masvingo.

"Mugabe did not greet secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa. The state media implicates Mutasa, Goche and Mujuru in an alleged plot to kill Mugabe. The trio has dismissed the allegations as untrue."
What is that supposed to mean? This is Mugabe acting like a village bully; harassing, intimidating and threaten all those who dare hold a different point of view to his.

The economy is the one foe Mugabe will find he cannot bully around. Zimbabwe's economy is subject to the same laws of economics at stated by notable people like Adam Smith and not to some whim of a tyrannical village bully.

Mugabe rigged the 2013 national elections to grant himself and his party a landslide electoral victory. After weeks of intimidation and harassment designed to whip his critics in Zanu PF back into line Mugabe has secured another landslide victory for himself and the faction of Zanu PF he now supports. There is still the burning issue of the economic meltdown; if he can rig an economic recovery then his grip on power will be secure. If he fails then his vote rigging in the national elections and party elections are nothing but sand castles which will fall in the midday sun's heat of the economic meltdown!

The whole nation knows who is responsible for the country's economic collapse and, more significantly, the economy is speaking for itself and will not be silenced by the empty threats of a failed tyrant. Yes it is the economy itself that is accusing Mugabe of destroying the national economy through the decades of pursuing voodoo economic policies, of economic "witchcraft"!
