'Congress will deal with Mujuru'

Gokwe-Nembudziya legislator Justice Mayor Wadyajena says Vice-President Joice Mujuru must have her day at the forthcoming congress where, if proven guilty of criminal allegations must face the music.
Addressing party supporters and school children at Bande Primary School during the hand over ceremony of three classroom blocks he renovated, Wadyajena said ordinary Zanu-PF members should not involve themselves in fights currently taking place in the party as Mujuru's fate would be decided at the party's congress scheduled for next week.
"Let us remain united and be peaceful. Don't involve yourselves in the current things you are reading about in the press. Those people who are accused of plotting to kill President Robert Mugabe will be judged by congress," he said.
Mujuru has been accused of plotting to assassinate Mugabe, a charge she has vehemently refuted. She has also been told to resign before the party's congress by the First Lady, Grace, who accused her of being a corrupt and inept leader.
Wadyajena said if Mujuru is found guilty on allegations being levelled against her, she must be 'hanged' together with all those supporting her.
"Let those fighting and doing all sorts of dirty things be dealt with at the congress. But if it's true that they want to kill President Mugabe, they must be hanged. There's no two ways about it.
"Why would they want to kill the president together with his army? We will not allow that to happen. They must be chucked out of the party," he said.
The MP said those 'dreaming to overthrow the President' had no place in Zimbabwe as well as in the party, given what he had done for the country.
The ruling party is set to hold an elective indaba next week which is expected to usher in new leaders to assist President Mugabe, according to the amendments that are set for adoption at the Central Committee meeting, set for a day before the congress.
Turning to school children, the local MP said no-one should force them into child marriages saying anyone caught doing so should be arrested.
