The culpable homicide case involving Vice President Joice Mujuru's daughter Chipo, in which two people died in a traffic accident, was heard in court almost two years later without the complainants' knowledge.
According to court papers the accused is identified as 34 year old Chipo Makoni and the accident occurred on the 10th of December in 2012.
Chipo, who was driving her mother's Land Cruiser pleaded guilty to negligent driving which caused the death of 38 year old Joseph Ngonji and a two month old child along Enterprise Road.
The case was brought before the courts on the 12th of May this year and sentence was passed on the same day.
However, the complainants in this case say they were not aware of the progress of the case and were not informed of such developments.
The case was also heard away from the glare of the media.
Chipo pleaded guilty to the two counts of culpable homicide and Magistrate Donald Ndirowei sentenced the accused to one year on each count or an option of US$800 fine on each count.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police had earlier revealed the case was finalised by the courts.
