Mudenda, Nyoni booted out

The suspension of Zanu-PF politburo members from Matebeleland North, Jacob Mudenda, Sithembiso Nyoni and three others on Saturday during the ruling party's inter district conference, remains in force unless the politburo decides otherwise the party's provincial chairperson, Richard Moyo said yesterday.

In an Interview media reports suggesting that the action was unprocedural, Moyo said he did not understand where that was coming from.

He said following the demonstrations on Saturday conference ahead of the party congress, they sat as a Joint Provincial Council meeting, meaning there were representatives from the main, youth women's wings and decided to suspend those members for causing problems in the province.
