'My wife is a well-known prostitute'

A Harare man shocked the gallery recently when he told the court that his wife was a well-known prostitute in their neighbourhood and at her workplace.
Petros Chikonya claimed his wife Shupikai Mandlazi was in the habit of bringing boyfriends into their matrimonial bedroom.
Chikonya had been dragged to the Harare Civil Court by his wife Mandlazi who was seeking a protection order against him.
She was accusing him of inserting a bottle into her genitals.
"He's undergoing treatment for a sexually transmitted disease but he forces me to have unprotected sex with him," she said.
Mandlazi accused Chikonya of being in the habit of physically and verbally abusing her.
"He's now my ex-husband but he has the guts to keep on sexually abusing me. He used to force me to be intimate with him when he was infected with an STI," she said.
"He's also in the habit of physically and verbally abusing me over petty issues," she said.
Mandlazi said she was planning to move out of their matrimonial house and pleaded with the court to bar Chikonya from visiting her new place of residence.
Chikonya denied the allegations and accused Mandlazi of being a well-known prostitute in their neighbourhood.
"My wife is a well-known prostitute at her workplace and in our neighbourhood because of her dirty behaviour of changing boyfriends. She brings different boyfriends with different vehicles at our matrimonial home in my presence," he said.
Chikonya accused Mandlazi of denying him conjugal rights.
"We're still married and staying together as husband and wife but she's in the habit of denying me conjugal rights," Chikonya said.
He told the court that he never contracted an STI in his life.
Magistrate Babra Masinire granted the order in Mandlazi's favour barring Chikonya from sexually, physically or verbally abusing her.
She ordered the couple to keep peace towards each other at all times.
