In an ominous sign that the ugly infighting devouring President Mugabe's ruling Zanu-PF party may be far from being resolved, VP Joice Mujuru completely cold-shouldered the party's bigwigs when she made a surprise to Stodart Hall in Mbare yesterday to pay her last respect to the late Lloyd Kotsho Dube.

Dube was later buried at the National Heroes Acre at a function presided over by Mugabe and which Mujuru did not attend.

Mujuru pitched up at Stodard Hall without warning early in the morning and ahead of Mugabe and his wife Grace's scheduled arrival at the traditional body-viewing place for heroes before being interred at the national shrine, Mujuru went straight to the bereaved family to pay her condolences.

She neither greeted nor acknowledged gathered senior government and party officials in the hall, and left as quickly as she had come.

Mujuru who had disappeared from the public eye in the wake of her failure to land a Central Committee seat amid a litany of allegations of high level corruption and abuse of office, made a whistle stop appearance at Stodart Hall in Mbare during the body viewing for national hero Lloyd Kotsho Dube.

Zanu-PF supporters booed Mujuru as she left the hall after paying her condolences to the national hero's family.

Mujuru is also her first appearance since missing two Politburo sittings, a central committee meeting and congress. VP Mujuru neither viewed the body nor took a seat.

According to Ministry of Information official, Mujuru was listed as one of the dignitaries on the viewing list.
