Defence Minister Sydney Sekeramayi, who survived the Mashonaland East storm by retaining his Central Committee membership, might still be in the running for a post in the presidium, according to political analysts.
Political pundits believe Dr Sekeramayi is in contention for the Zanu-PF chairmanship post where Speaker of Parliament Advocate Jacob Mudenda is seen as the
front runner.
With Dr Joice Mujuru having been relieved of her Vice Presidential post, the President will now appoint two vice presidents.
Former diplomat Phelekezela Mphoko, Home Affairs Minister Kembo Mohadi, Justice Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa and Senate President Edna Madzongwe are also tipped as favourites to land the vice-president posts.
Former women's league secretary Oppah Muchinguri is also favoured to land the post of Secretary for Administration.
