Kiti made the revelations at the Harare Civil Court where she was seeking a protection order against Kwembeya whom she accuse d of breaching her peace.
"I am now living a horrible life because each time we quarrel, he picks up any farming tool he finds near him and starts assaulting me with it," she said.
Kiti told magistrate Babra Masinire that Kwembeya was pushing her out of their matrimonial house under unclear circumstances.
"He is chasing me out of our matrimonial house and to make matters worse he is threatening to kill me if I don't pack my belongings and leave," Kiti said.
She said Kwembeya had since barred her from performing her household duties as a wife such as cooking and washing his clothes.
"I am now feeling useless and embarrassed because he refuses to eat my food," she said.
Kwembeya denied the allegations leveled against him by Kiti but said he was not opposed to her application.
"I am not opposed to her application. You can go ahead and grant her as she pleases because I also need peace in my life," he said.
Masinire granted the protection order in Kiti's favour which barred Kwembeya from physically or verbally abusing her.
She also ordered the two to keep peace towards each other.
