A 19-YEAR-OLD Chitungwiza man who was caught engaging in sex with his brother's wife appeared in court yesterday facing rape charges.

Shingirai Moyo of Unit F, Seke, denied three counts of rape charges when he appeared before Chitungwiza regional magistrate Estere Chivasa.

Moyo, through his defence Lawyer Karen Muyangwa of Muronda and Muyangwa Legal Practitioners, denied the allegations, saying that he had consensual sex with the 23-year-old complainant on three occasions after she had seduced him.

"With regard to the first count, the accused person and the complainant had consensual sex after the complainant had awakened him in his room.

"In respect of count two, it is the same as the first count and on count three, the complainant called the accused into her room and had consensual sex, but was caught in the act by the accused person's sister. Therefore, the accused person will deny the allegations," Moyo's lawyer said.

Magistrate Chivasa remanded the matter to Monday for continuation of trial.
