MDC-T relishes polls

Buoyed by the ructions bedevilling their political foes- the Morgan Tsvangirai-led MDC is upbeat that they will win elections at any given time.
MDC-T spokesperson Obert Gutu said that President Robert Mugabe's days are numbered and cited deep rooted divisions in Zanu-PF over the brutal ouster of former VP Joice Mujuru.
And with the parliamentary seats of at least over 100 legislators linked to Mujuru not secure as victorious hawks push for their ouster- the MDC is also relishing for by-elections to be held even before the 2018 plebiscite.
Meanwhile, the MDC-T party is once again gripped by another tussle, this time relating to the party leader's face that appears on the opposition political outfit's symbol.
Hit hard by a crushing poll defeat last year, followed by a damaging split early this year, the second inside a decade under Tsvangirai's watch, the former parliamentary majority party is now in the throes of another fight as top officials heckle over his face.
A senior official who spoke on condition of anonymity said a group of hawks in the party have demanded that Tsvangirai's face be removed from the party's open palm symbol on which it was superimposed in 2011.
