Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko has related the incident that saw him escape unhurt in a car accident on Saturday.
The new Vice President, who was sworn in last Friday alongside Emmerson Mnangagwa, said he was on his way from church when the accident took place along Harare's Enterprise Road.
In what he described as a genuine accident, Mphoko said the driver of a truck applied emergency brakes after dropping something, and this is what led to the accident.
"The truck was carrying wedding material, and after dropping what looked like a pot, passengers seated at the back of the truck then hit the roof signalling the driver to stop," he said.
Vice President Mphoko also dismissed claims that the woman reported injured in the accident was his wife.
