ZBC has launched an operation to find out how workers secured employment at the state broadcaster.
The station launched "Operation Wakabva kupi/ Wavela ngaphi" to weed out employees related to senior executives hired through nepotism with no regard to relevant academic qualifications.
"There are forms that workers are required to fill indicating how they got their jobs and also mention the qualification one has," said an employee.
The employee said suspended chief executive officer Happison Muchechetere and some senior managers had hired their relatives without following due process.
"There are so many unqualified personnel at the station and as a result ZBC is producing poor content that does not appeal to the audiences," said another employee.
