Civil servants in dilemma over bonuses
17 Dec 2014 at 08:07hrs | Views
Civil servants have developed a wait and see attitude on government's ability to pay them bonuses next Wednesday amid reports from the Salary Services Bureau that pay slips for December not reflect the annual 13th cheque.
Zimta president Richard Gundani yesterday said that they were hoping that government would honour its promise and give teachers and the rest of civil servants bonuses on December 24.
Members of the Zimbabwe National Army got their bonuses in November.
PTUZ national coordinator Ladistous Zunde said they were not sure whether government would award civil servants since the situation at ground does not look good for it is obvious that government has no money.
