Calling MDC-T a 'party of excellence' is as nonsensical as calling R M S Titanic 'unsinkable'!

"Let me put it on record that Mr. Mfundo Sibanda was our member until a few days back when he exercised his right to disassociate. We as a party of excellence respect his decision despite our sympathy for him as he embarks on a journey to nowhere, cognizant of his desire to join the Biti party which is yet to have a name; we remain ready to receive him back into the party of excellence as we have done with others in accordance with the statutes and norms of the party," said Dr Wangu Mazodze, MDC-T spokesman SA.
Dr Mazodze was trying to rationalize why Mr Sibanda had left the party. What caught my attention is the bit about MDC being a "party of excellence"! This was a favourite catch phrase of the pompous MDC leader Nelson Chamisa but even he stopped using it after the party's failure to get even one democratic reform implemented had resulted in the party being trounced in the July 2013 elections.
It was MDC's failure to get even one democratic reform implemented because of the leadership's breath-taking incompetence that allowed Mugabe to blatantly rig the elections. After the 31 July 2013 elections the MDC leaders had proven themselves beyond all doubt to be corrupt and incompetent and thus that the party they lead cannot be a party of excellence. And therefore for anyone to still call MDC a "party of excellence" is as absurd as insisting on calling the RMS Titanic "unsinkable" after 15 April 1912! And yet here we are there are some people out there like Dr Mazodze would still believe that a party led by corrupt and incompetent leaders is still a party of excellence, nonsensical as that may be.
Dr Mazodze was told that MDC was a party of excellence years ago and he believed it and it has been locked in his brain, not to be changed. Not even the mountain of evidence of MDC's blundering incompetence has had an effect because his brain works more like what scientist call ROM, Read Only Memory, you buy the chip with whatever is written on it and you can only read whatever is written it word for word, absolutely nothing is to be changed.
Human brain is supposed to be like RAM, Random Access Memory, chip; not only can one read and write in it but can edit and update as well. Sadly that is clearly a luxury people like Dr Mazodze have denied themselves because they have freely chosen to close their eyes to the mountain of evidence of MDC blunders so that no amount of reasoning can get through. They accepted whatever Chamisa told them these years back and soon thereafter made a subconscious decision to hermetically seal their minds so that the "MDC is a party of excellence!" cannot be changed.
Some people have often wondered how it was possible for Zimbabwe to stumble from pillar to post from a 500 billion % inflation rate, to 84% economic shrinkage in a six year period 2002 to 2008, to a 90% plus unemployment all world record beaters without ever learning anything from all these blundering mistakes? Not even the fabled lemming would make the same mistake over and over again without learning from it much less a human being. But after meeting someone like Dr Mazodze (a true and authentic representative sample of a Zanu PF and MDC supporter) and the reason why the country has blundered into this hell in the record time of 34 years becomes clear - it is the ROM brain in the hermetically sealed Brazil nut of a head. Say no more!
What must be said and repeated however many times it will take to finally get through into that Brazil nut is that Zimbabwe is not going to get out of this hell that Mugabe landed it and Tsvangirai is now helping the tyrant keep us there as long as we have voters like Dr Mazodze who will not learn from the past. It took fifteen years for many people to finally accept that Mugabe was a corrupt and murderous tyrant. What else does Tsvangirai have to do for people like Dr Mazodze to finally accept that the MDC leader is corrupt and incompetent?
