Unjustified bus fare hikes criticised

Travellers have raised concern over the unjustified price increase in bus fare by public transporters this festive season.

A survey carried by the ZBC News in and around Masvingo revealed that both long and short distance buses, including kombis had hiked their fares by 50 percent.

Despite the unjustified fare hike by public transporters, most travellers say there were no transport blues this year compared to the previous.

Meanwhile, last-minute shoppers have confirmed the availability of basic foodstuffs in most retail shops but were quick to blast banks and money agents for slow services.
