Two wanted criminals who terrorised motorists along the Beitbridge road have been arrested on charges of robbery and murder.

30-year old Taurai Gwade was arrested in Mvuma while Boniface Musharavati (39) was arrested in Masvingo for crimes committed between 9 May and 19 December 2014.

The two are facing 19 counts of robbery and 1 count for the murder of Onward Chiripamebiri.

10 of the crimes were committed with the aid of their accomplice Lihlonolo Moyo and Clive Shumba who are both on remand.

According to the police, the group which stole items worth about US$60 000 in their crime spree, targeted motorists along the Beitbridge to Bulawayo road and the Beitbridge to Masvingo.

They would drive donkeys to the middle of the road to slow down vehicles before deflating their tires.

This would force the driver to stop and they would then attack and rob their victim.

Police also arrested 32 year old Shangaanai Ndlovhu who was involved in a robbery at Agribank Machipisa with two accomplices.

Meanwhile, a mutilated human head was found at Mabvuse Centre in Kutama on Christmas Day and police are appealing for members of the public who may have information to assist in identification and investigations.
