Intensify Corruption Probe for Justice!

The probe of Joice Mujuru on corruption should open a rare precedent case for Zimbabwe. This move should be intensified and accelerated to permit justice to take toll on our society which is perceived as corruption-ridden. This is time to mop-up all mess so as to restore sanity in our country.
Corruption is ripping us of our entire good image that we deserve as a nation. This is an ugly scene if it is done by high ranking Government officials, and unscrupulous politicians that are expected to set the correct tone. It's high time we ensure that all corrupt public officials are nipped in the bud to curtail further disintegration of our beloved homeland.
If corruption is an unbridled aspect, it would degenerate to grip hard all ranks and file of our society. The old adage says, "A fish starts rotting from the head." In this view, let us subject all big-wigs to scrutiny if ever they are fingered in any corrupt practices. In reality, if the top-guys are corrupt the whole institutions they head will not hesitate to follow suit.
It is inundating to note that corruption is almost officialized in most public institutions like Vehicle Inspection Department (VID). It is public knowledge that one should pay a certain amount for him or her to get a driver's licence or to get a road fitness certificate. The same applies to the Registrar General's Office, Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZMRA), Pensions Office, and the Housing department to mention but a few.
To achieve this, I think there need to establish whistle-blower systems which have suitable incentives to rope in the generality of the public to participate actively in unmasking all wrong-doers that are tearing apart the national fabric willy-nilly. Then the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Unit should play its core-responsibility of dealing vehemently against all perpetrators. There is also need to create conducive legal framework to enable this.
In the meantime, ZRP should be complimented for taking the lead in probing corrupt elements in this country. However, this process should be air-tight to avoid prejudicing of the findings. Every due effort should be observed to realize the ultimate achievement of justice.
The direct effect of corruption on the nation is that, Government is defrauded of revenue through leakages, evasion of customs duty and other taxes. This deprives the whole nation as the Government will not have adequate cash to fund all its obligations sufficiently. Therefore, we all need to be responsible citizens that defend Zimbabwe's interests at all costs, rather than gnawing its strength to weaken its continued existence.
Let's bury corruption now!
