A special envoy from Equatorial Guinea has paid a courtesy call on Acting President Emmerson Mnangagwa at his offices in Harare to deliver a special message for the President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe from his Equatorial Guinea counterpart, President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
The special envoy, Ambassador Juan Antonio Bibang Nchuchuma handed over the message to Mnangwagwa at his offices this Friday morning.
Talking to journalists after holding a brief meeting with Mnangagwa, Ambassador Nchuchuma, who is also his country's Minister of External Security could not divulge the contents of the message.
Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea established a Joint Commission in 2007 and ambassador Nchuchuma said 2015 should see the strengthening of bilateral ties and economic co-operation.
The two countries share cordial relations that were strengthened when Harare foiled an attempted coup in 2004.
Vigilant Zimbabwe security forces arrested British mercenary, Simon Mann and 69 others at the Harare International Airport when they landed to refuel enroute to a mission to overthrow President Mbasogo's government.
