Eleven people have died and 800 families affected by flash floods throughout the country.
Property worth millions of dollars was also destroyed as the rainy season took its toll in the country.
According to the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society, as of Sunday more than 800 people were in dire need of humanitarian assistance with some marooned in trees as rains continue to pound the southern African nation.
Takemore Mazuruse, Red Cross Zimbabwe Spokesperson yesterday said that the number of cases of affected people and areas would continue to rise given that rains were still falling.
Meanwhile, low-lying areas of the country have been hit by flooding with more than 200 families being displaced while 52 houses and a secondary school in Mash Central were destroyed.
One person was reported killed while another was missing after being swept away by flooded rivers as rains continue to pound the country.
This brings the number of people who have died so far due to the floods to 10.
