Over 10 000 people living with HIV and Aids are at risk of further compromising their health after their anti-retroviral drugs were swept away together with other belongings by floods in Mashonaland Central and other parts of the country affected by recent incessant rains.

According to an HIV advocacy group, Zimbabwe National Network for People with HIV some of those depending on life-prolonging drugs are marooned in areas that have prevented them from accessing the drugs, with many now at risk of falling sick due to conditions they are exposed to.
