Mnangagwa, Mphoko appointments gazetted

The appointments of Vice Presidents Emmerson Mnangagwa and Phelekezela Mphoko as well as seven Cabinet ministers and one deputy minister have been gazetted.
The appointments were published in an extraordinary Government Gazette yesterday by Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda.
"It is hereby notified, for public information, that on 12 December, 2014, His Excellency the President, in terms of paragraph 14 (2) of the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, appointed two Vice Presidents in the first schedule," he said.
"His Excellency also appointed, in terms of Section 104 of the said Constitution, seven ministers and deputy minister listed in the second schedule."
The gazette's first schedule indicates that VP Mnangagwa is also the Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, while VP Mphoko is also Minister of National Healing and Reconciliation.
The Second Schedule confirmed the appointment of former Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Samuel Undenge to be Minister of Energy and Power Development, replacing Dzikamai Mavhaire.
Udenge will be deputised by Tsitsi Muzenda whose appointment was also gazetted.
Prisca Mupfumira's appointment to the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare was also gazetted replacing Nicholas Goche who was sacked.
Others whose appointments were gazetted were Ministry of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Christopher Mushohwe, Minister of State for Manicaland Province Mandi Chimene and Minister of State for Mashonaland East Province Joel Biggie Matiza.
The appointment of former Deputy Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Supa Mandiwanzira to head the Ministry of Information, Communication Technology and Courier Services that was under the fired Webster Shamu was also gazetted.
The other gazetted appointment was that of Christopher Mutsvangwa who now heads the newly-created Ministry of Welfare Services for the War Veterans, War Collaborators, Former Political Detainees and Restrictees.
The appointment of Monica Mutsvangwa, who replaced Mandiwanzira as Deputy Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services was not gazetted as she is still to be sworn in.
