D day for SK Moyo

Zanu PF spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo is on the spotlight tomorrow with his much anticipated statement in response to one by ousted secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa last week denouncing the party's 6th Congress last December.
Khaya Moyo an ally of sacked Vice President Mujuru is one of a few to survive the chop when President Robert Mugabe dismissed his deputy and several cabinet ministers accused of plotting to topple the aging Zanu PF leader.
Mutasa last week dismissed as illegal the Zanu PF congress saying they would soon take the party to court to nullify all resolutions made.
Khaya Moyo was subtly attacked by State run Herald newspaper for remaining tight lipped over the issue, a move that forced him to issue a brief statement saying he had been on leave and will resume work tomorrow.
"It remains to be seen whether Khaya Moyo will attack Mutasa and members of the Mujuru faction since he worked closely with them before the congress. He finds himself in a very difficult position because all sides are watching his steps," said a Zanu PF source.
"If he is mild on Mutasa, interpretation is that he is still sympathetic towards the Mujuru faction which might result in his sacking. On the other hand if he attacks them, it will be mark the end of his relations with the Mujuru faction."
Recent media reports revealed that both Khaya Moyo and Defense minister Sydney Sekeramayi grovelled to Mugabe to be spared from the axe.
